In 1856, J.L.N. Gracy, one of Lampasas’s earliest settlers, built the Gracy Hotel as the stagecoach stop for the Austin Stage. A wing of 10 rooms was added in 1870 and an addtional wing was added in 1931. It was renamed the Keystone Hotel in 1926
